Virgil Ray Gibson, age 51, of Delta, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 21, 2016. He was born in Pineville, KY on December 9, 1964 to Jewell (Bain) Trusty. Virgil attended Delta High School and worked as a drywall finisher. He always was known to be a hard worker and always went out of his way to help others. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing basketball and spending time with family and friends, especially his children and his dog “Rocko”.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his father, Logan “Dwight” Trusty; five children, Shannon Padgett, Meika Gibson, Levi Jackson, Brandon Ray Gibson and Natasha Gibson; five grandchildren, Devin, Dylan, Adrianna, Paisely and Alyssa; one sister, Drema (David) Shultz; one brother, Thomas (Kelly) Gibson; one grandmother, Genoia Kinnaird; his significant other, Regina Gill and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
