Wanda I. Bacon

Wanda I. BaconWanda I. Bacon, age 94, of Bryan, Ohio and a long time resident of Fayette, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance. Mrs. Bacon worked for many years in the cafeteria for the Fayette Schools.

Wanda was born on June 15, 1921 in Fayette, the daughter of William and Myrtle (Ritter) Hippert. On November 10, 1939 she married John E. Bacon in Wauseon and he preceded her in death on July 13, 2015.

Wanda is survived by her son, Stanley Bacon, of Bryan; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Raymond Ritter, Donald Hippert and Merle Hippert and sisters, Gwendoline O’Neal, Dorothy Hippert and Ila Bechtol.

Funeral services for Wanda Bacon will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating. Burial will Follow in Pleasant View Union Cemetery, Fayette. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 P.M. prior to the service on Wednesday.

The family requests memorial donations to the Williams County Humane Society.
