Wauseon Bowlers Narrowly Edge Out Patriots, Move On To District

NAPOLEON 2/14/14—The Wauseon Indians bowling team was able to move on the to district tournament, finishing just two pins ahead of Patrick Henry for the fourth and final district qualifying spot.

In the first round of regular games, the Tribe rolled a team score of 820 pins. In the first round, Clayton Ricker led the way with a 199, Noah Stickley followed with a 172, Peyton Shadbolt rolled a 159, Nic Kearney scored a 151, and Kevin Moden finished with a 139.

In the second round, the team had a total of 865 pins. Shadbolt rolled the teams highest individual round score of the day with a 206, Stickley put up a 184, Clayton Ricker had a 168, Kearney knocked down 164 pins, and Braydon Ricker round out the second round with a 143.

The third and final regular game saw the Indians score collect 852 pins. Clayton Ricker’s 195 was the top score for Wauseon in the round.Kearney rolled a 186,  Moden knocked down 170 pins, Stickely had a 155, and Shadbolt finished with a 146.

In the six baker games, the Indians scored 201, 178, 173, 178, 212, and 179.


The total of 2537 pins from the regular games and the 1121 pins from the baker games gave the Indians a grand total of 3658, just two pins ahead of Patrick Henry for the final district qualifying spot.
