(February 9th 2015) – WAUSEON: On Monday afternoon, the Tinora Rams charged head-on against the Wauseon Indians at the River City Bowl-a-Way. Wauseon geared up for the evening determined to defeat the Rams, who had the unfavorable record going into the match.

The night began with an energetic blast from the Indian boys, all scoring above 200 points in the first game. Nic Kearney would lead Game 1 with a 237 count. Game 2 proved to be a great show from Peyten Shadbolt, scoring 254 for a total of 476 for the night. The team would tally 2034 points overall.

On the girls’ side, dominance was prominent during first game, as the lady Indians would score a combined total of 740 points. With an added 650 score going into the Baker Game, Wauseon and Tinora were nearly neck in neck at 1390-1336. Summer Brown’s score of 203 in Game 1 resulted in topping her previous high score.

The Baker Game proved to be a pivotal point in the evening. During the match, Wauseon racked up 475 points on the boys’ side to seal the victory at 2509-2115. The girls, however, couldn’t follow through and ended up tallying 1758 against Tinora’s 1805. The Rams would leave for home with a victory of 1805-1758.

Wauseon’s bowling squad will compete in the NWOAL bowling tournament on Saturday, February 14. The tournament will kick off at 1 o’clock. Teams from Bryan, Wauseon, Liberty Center, Patrick Henry, Evergreen, Swanton and Delta will be competing for the league title.
