The State Ag and Urban Soils Contest looked a little different this year for the 11 participating FFA Members. This year the contest was held online in a virtual format. Wauseon FFA participated in both the Urban and Rural Category. The Wauseon Urban team took 19th place out of 108 teams, with Isaac Wilson (16th place), Jackson Bauer, Benjamin Allan, Ian Arps, Aliina Lange, and Alyssa Stricklen participating.

The Wauseon Rural Soil team placed 25th place out of 164 teams, with Braxton Goings, Daniel Hite, Amber Rufenacht, Zeph Siefker, and Lucas Wheeler serving as team members.

Prior to the state contest, both teams participated in a Chapter-Level Contest and the Fulton County Soils Contest in person.  The Ag Soils Team took first place in the county competition and the Urban Soils team placed 3rd.  Braxton Goings placed first overall the participants in the county-contest.
