(October 27th, 2014): The Freshmen Indians of Wauseon closed out their season against North Western Ohio Athletic League opponent Liberty Center.

A strong performance on defense was overshadowed by an offensive explosion by Wauseon. Led once again by Hunter Yackee, the Indians put up 38 points against the Tigers of Liberty Center.

With pinpoint accuracy, Yackee threw four touchdown strikes on the Liberty Center defense. Kyle Zirkle brought down one of the scoring tosses, while Owen Newlove hauled in another. Everett Bueter made a touchdown reception as well, as did Dawson Rupp. Yackee also found the endzone with his feet, providing the Indians with their lone rushing score.

Zirkle also caught a Yackee ball for a two point conversion. Bueter ran the ball in for another two points also.

While not as flashy as scoring five touchdowns, Wauseon was also able to shut out the Tigers, giving the Indians a 38 point margin of victory. Standing out for the Wauseon defense were Mac Warnke, Cam Sauber, Junior Martinez, and Yackee yet again.

The Wauseon Freshmen finish their season with a 7-2 record. Given the way they played this season, one has to imagine that the future of the Indian program is not only bright, but blinding.
