(February 25th, 27th, and 28th, 2015) – CANTON: Six Lady Indians made the trip to Canton, determined to show what they could do at the State Swim and Dive meet.

Divers Patience Bachman and Jordan Sloan were first, competing on Wednesday, February 25. Bachman finished in eighteenth place in the event. Sloan was right behind her, taking nineteenth place overall.

The relay team of Alexys Carteaux, Alexis Meyer, Kasey Darnell, and Sydney Darnell competed in the 200 meter freestyle relay over the weekend. The team had a strong time of 1:42.11. That earned them nineteenth place against the elite field.

Sydney also competed in the 200 meter IM. She took home nineteenth place in the race, swimming a 2:11.61. Kasey was involved in individual races as well. She finished in twenty-second place in the 200 meter freestyle, with a time of 1:59.92. That wasn’t her only event, though, as she also took part in the 500 meter freestyle race. Thanks to her time of 5:13.12, Kasey was able to complete the race in fifteenth place. That finish earned her All-Ohio honors.

The Lady Indians excelled against very strong competition. Each girl swam their best time of the season when they needed to step up the most.
