Wauseon High School is launching a community-driven initiative to collect new or gently used formalwear items.

The collection includes special occasion dresses, jewelry, purses, wraps, shoes, and men’s wear such as ties, shirts, vests, suits, pants, and shoes.

The project, titled “Beauty Comes from the Heart,” is dedicated to providing young people with the opportunity to find formalwear for significant events like homecoming, prom, and graduation.

These events are hosted several times a year at West Clinton Mennonite Church, welcoming everyone in the community. All items are offered on a free-will donation basis, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent participation.

Proceeds from the initiative will be directed to Survivor Outreach Support (S.O.S.), a charity focused on assisting survivors of human trafficking, abuse, and assault in Northwest Ohio. The organization is committed to providing outreach and support to those in need.

Community members are encouraged to contribute to this worthy cause and support local youth and survivors in need.

For more information on how to participate or donate, please contact Wauseon High School or visit the event at West Clinton Mennonite Church.
