Wauseon Indians Shut Out Host Liberty Center 13-0 In NWOAL Action On The Diamond

WAUSEON: April 10- Wauseon traveled to Liberty Center on April 10 to open the NWOAL season against the Tigers, posting a dominating 13-0 shutout of the host Tigers on their field.

For Wauseon on the mound, Ty Suntken tossed the shutout on a brilliant 1 hit performance while posting 10 K’s on the victory.

At the plate for Wauseon, Suntken also turned in a stellar performance going a perfect 4 for 4, scoring 4 runs and logging 2 RBI’s in the win. Jacob Newlove turned in a 3 for 4 day, driving home 2 runs in the game while teammate Axel Bueter went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI’s to lead the way for Wauseon. Clay Tefft belted in a run on a 1 for 2 performance; Nate Suntken chipped in 2 hits on the game while JJ Kauffman and Peyton Shadbolt each recorded hits.

With the win, Wauseon moved to 4-1 on the season and open with a 1-0 mark in conference play.
