TIFFIN – The Fayette Lady Eagles, Wauseon Lady Indians and Pettisville Lady Blackbirds saw action at the 2013 Tiffin Cross Country Carnival on September 7.

In Division III, Pettisville placed 31st overall behind Alexa Leppelmeier, who placed 13th overall. With only four runners in the field, Fayette opted for the D II / D III Open event, which saw Jill Stuckey finishing seventh overall.

Wauseon fielded full teams in both Division II races. In the D II-A event all five scoring runners in the top 100. While that may not seem impressive, it is important to remember that the Tiffin Carnival is the largest high school cross country event east of the Mississippi River. The D II-A event had 207 runners in the field beside Wauseon, and many of these individual races had more runners in the field than many of our local villages have in total population.

Taylor Vernot finished seventh overall to lead Wauseon to the 13th place finish in D II-A competition, while Megan Beck placed 36th to lead the Tribe to the 22nd place finish in the D II-B event.
The following finishes were recorded by chronological event, school, place and time…
