Beginning Wednesday, August 17, Glenwood Ave between East Elm St and East Oak St will be closed to traffic between the hours of 7 AM to 8 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on weekdays. Signs have been erected and barricades will be in place.
This has been done to protect school children as they cross the intersection and to promote a safer intersection.
Motor vehicle travel will be restricted in that area, except for persons visiting the one residence located in the road closure. The parking area in this block will also not be accessible until after the hours listed.
A suggested route to Wauseon Schools would be East Oak St or Parkview.
Officers will be present during the first couple weeks of school to assist with traffic flow.
