March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and Blooms Flower Company, Fulton County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Sara’s Garden, Triangular Processing Services, and Wauseon Public Library invite the community to join the celebration.
Everyone is encouraged to show support in two simple but impactful ways. First, Downtown Wauseon will again feature orange ribbons on the black poles along Fulton Street.
Second, there is an opportunity to participate in this year’s window or door decorating contest. Businesses interested in joining the contest should contact Tara Dumas.
All decorated business windows or doors must be completed by March 6, with the winner announced the week of March 9.
This is a great chance for local businesses and organizations to demonstrate their commitment to inclusion and awareness in the community.
Let’s come together to celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month—Our Voice, Our Strength! For more information or to get involved, reach out to Tara Dumas at tarad@sarasgarden.org.
