A West Unity man wanted for burglary in Georgia led the local police department on a chase after being stopped while walking through town.
The incident occurred Feb. 13 around 10:44 p.m. when the police saw the suspect, 24-year-old Blake Prather walking on North Main Street.
Police ran a check on Prather and learned he had a felony warrant for burglary in Georgia.
Prather then fled on foot and was later found in a motel in Napoleon. He was arrested Feb. 14.
Agencies assisting at the scene and the investigation included the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, the Bryan Police Department, Stryker Police Department, Defiance County Sheriff’s Office, Montpelier Police Department and Napoleon Police Department.
