Wilbur “Andy” Moody (1938-2013)

Wilbur “Andy” A. Moody, 74, of Bryan died Tuesday night at the Community Hospital and Wellness Center in Bryan, Ohio. He was born on September 16, 1938 in Montpelier, Ohio to George Wilbur and Dorothy Julia (Jenkins) Moody. Andy attended Montpelier High School. After high school he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Andy was a machinist; he retired from Powers and Sons in 1994 after 15 years.

Andy is survived by two daughters, Julie (Marvin) Matthews of Bryan, Ohio and Jodie Moody of Billings, Montana; two step sons, Nathan E. Hartsock of Bryan, Ohio and Master Sergeant Robert W. Hartsock of Bryan, Ohio; three sisters Thelma (Pete) Stambaugh of Phoenix, Arizona, Nell (Ted) Hornbrook of Orland, Indiana and Mary Ann (Thurman) Morrison of Fitzgerald, Georgia; one granddaughter Jessica Marlene Moody and three step grandchildren Hannah, Tyler and Courtney Hartsock; three great grandchildren Athelia Jade Oliver, Xavier Moody and Gabe Matthews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives Marlene and Margie, sons Joshua A. Moody and Jesse B. Moody, brother A. J. Moody and half brother James Moody.

Visitations hours for Andy will be Saturday May 25th from 11-1pm at the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier. Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 1:30pm, at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier with Pastor John MacFarlane to officiate. Donations may be made to Williams County EMS or
