William “Bill” Hayes, age 72, of Delta, was called to his eternal home on October 25, 2023 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo after a brief illness.
He was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on May 4, 1951, to the late Arville and Louise (Atwell) Hayes. Bill would marry the love of his life on July 12, 2007, Jennifer (Farough) Hayes; they would share the love of a blended family being blessed with six daughters and one son.
Bill worked for Structural Foam Plastics in Liberty Center as a supervisor for twenty years, and then went on to work at IAC in Wauseon for ten years.
Some of his favorite hobbies included working on cars, being outdoors and camping at Sunny’s Campground. Bill enjoyed his music, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd, Merle Haggard and George Jones.
Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his wife, Jennifer; daughters, Kristin Hayes Mowell of North Asheboro, NC, Trish Hayes of Weber City, VA, Jonnie Hayes of North Charleston, SC, Sundae (Tom) Camarda of Detroit, MI, Tasha (Rick) Rhinehart of Romulus, MI, Sarah (Leroy) Hankinson of Delta and son, Noah (Thelma) Ankney of Nesconset, NY; sister, Trula Tanier of Delta and loving grandchildren; including his partner in crime, Shaianne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Hayes.
Friends and family will be received from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta. Interment will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may consider a memorial contribution to the family, care of Jennifer Hayes.
