The Williams County Commissioners heard from Jobs and Family Services Director Fred Lord for his regular monthly update at their Sept. 26 meeting.
Lord brought along Lori Geiser, supervisor of the Child Support unit to talk about her basic functions on the job. Lord said Geiser does a good job and he leaves her to complete the tasks.
The local office won an award when the state honored Anna Myers as Outstanding Supervisor in Ohio.
In other actions, commissioners authorized the auditor to make supplemental appropriations.
The board also authorized the county engineer to sign a permit allowing Defiance County to work within the Right of Way on a project on the county line road. The project will commence in November and last until November 2017.
