The Williams County Safe Communities program reports that for the third quarter of 2012 there were two fatal traffic crashes. This compares with the third quarter of 2011 reporting of no fatal traffic crashes in Williams County. An additional fatal to be reported for the fourth quarter of 2012 will bring the year to date total for Williams County to 6 fatalities for 2012 with 3 of these fatals being alcohol related.
As of November 5, 2012, the Ohio State Highway Patrol – Traffic Statistics show 931 confirmed fatalities in 2012 in Ohio as compared to 844 confirmed fatalities for the same period in 2011.
