This year the Williams Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) will have its annual Board of Supervisor’s election during an Open House. Due to the budget, the SWCD Board of Supervisors has decided to once again hold an Open House instead of a banquet.

The Open House and Williams SWCD Board of Supervisor’s Election will be held on Thursday, October 25, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Williams Soil & Water Conservation District office in the Agriculture Services Meeting Room in Bryan. Voting and registration will take place during that time. You can also vote by absentee ballot now until October 25. Call the office for information on casting an absentee ballot.

The Open House will feature the election of one Williams SWCD Supervisor. Candidates in this year’s special election are Jim Coleman, James (J.B.) Orendorff, and Tom Traxler.

During the Open House, the recipient of the Outstanding Cooperator Award will be announced.  Chili and refreshments will also be served.

The Williams SWCD Board and Staff invite you to come together to cast your vote with people who have the mutual interest of conserving our land and water for those who live beyond us! We hope to see you at this year’s Williams SWCD Open House as we commemorate 65 years of conservation.

For more information contact the Williams SWCD office at 419-636-9395 or 419-636-2349 Ext. 3.
