BOYS BOWLING

Patrick Henry 2,233 Wauseon 2,153

NAPOLEON – Tyler Piercefield rolled a 378 (182, 196) series to help the Patriots edge Wauseon (0-5, 0-4 NWOAL) at River City Bowl-A-Way.

Ryan Marks had the high series for all bowlers with a 416 (215, 201) for Wauseon, who won the opening Baker game 160-111 to trim the Patrick Henry lead before the Patriots took the last two games (176-146, 182-154) to close out the match.

Swanton 2,136 Tinora 1,988


SWANTON – Swanton led 1,690-1,477 after match play on their way to a nonconference win over Tinora. Marty Mosher fired a 405 (210, 195) to lead the Bulldog attack and Carson Santchi added a 347 (213, 134).

Bryan 2,472 Liberty Center 2,353

BRYAN – Caleb Muhe posted a 422 (186, 236) and Matt Meade totaled a 412 (216, 196) to lead Bryan (4-1, 3-1 NWOAL) past Liberty Center (5-1, 5-1 NWOAL), handing the Tigers their first loss of the season. Jacob Sexton had games of 228 and 212 for Liberty Center.


Delta 2,071 Evergreen 2,042

ADRIAN – Trailing by 127 pins after match play, Evergreen (1-5, 1-4 NWOAL) tried to rally by winning all three Baker games (176-155, 193-146, 173-143) but came up short as Delta emerged with a 2,071-2,042 win.

Gabe Syverson paced Delta (2-4, 1-4 NWOAL) with games of 225 and 199 for a 424 series while Derek Cobb fronted the Vikings by rolling a 371 (201, 170).

 

GIRLS BOWLING

Patrick Henry 2,088 Wauseon 1,652


NAPOLEON – The Patriots led 1,640-1,336 after match play and then put Wauseon (1-3, 0-3 NWOAL) away with a 448-316 advantage in the Baker games. Jayde Ramos topped Wauseon with a 392 (201, 191) and Danielle Carr added a 348 (182, 166).

Liberty Center 2,332 Bryan 2,176

BRYAN – Liberty Center (5-0, 5-0 NWOAL) swept the Baker games (204-168, 161-151, 209-159) to help the Tigers remain undefeated after their win over the Lady Bears.

Bryan’s (2-3, 1-3 NWOAL) Faith Harding had the high series 449 (205, 244) of the night had the high game with a 244 in game two.

Delta 1,776 Evergreen 1,674

ADRIAN – Ciarra Flickinger recorded games of 191 and 173 for a 364 series to pace Delta (2-3, 1-3 NWOAL) in a 1,776-1,674 win over the Vikings.

Keigan Shuster fired the high series for Evergreen (3-2, 2-2 NWOAL) with a 283 (143,140).

BOYS BASKETBALL

Fayette 66 Morenci (MI) 51

MORENCI – Fayette (7-1) used a 22-15 fourth quarter to pull away for a 66-51 win over Morenci. Four Eagles were in double figures led by Elijah Lerma with 20 points, Kaden Frenn had 17, Skylar Lester added 13, and Xander Dunnett had 11.

Napoleon 56 Bryan 40

BRYAN –Napoleon shot 51% from the field and out-rebounded the Golden Bears (0-8) 22-13 en route to a 56-40 win. Craig Jackson had eight points to lead Bryan and Logan Moss added seven.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Napoleon, 49-23

Edgerton 67 Stryker 56 (OT)

STRYKER – Edgerton was 12/15 at the free throw line in overtime as they knocked off Stryker in overtime 67-56. The Bulldogs (2-7) were 25/41 on the night at the charity stripe and outscored the Panthers 17-6 in the extra session.

Cole Meyer poured in a game-high 25 points for Edgerton while Corey Everetts added 16 and Nathan Swank tallied 13. Stryker (4-6), who led 25-21 at halftime, was topped in scoring by Teyvon Harris with 13.
