August 16, 2016Updated:November 30, 2016No Comments1 Min Read

The dedication of a plaque honoring Leroy Wyse Jr., who was taken as a Prisoner of War by the Japanese after the fall of the island of Corregidor during World War II, will be held on August 21.  The ceremony will be at the Kissell Building, 509 S. Main Street, West Unity, and a progression will move from there to the Floral Grove Cemetery on County Road K.  The procession, which will begin at 2:30 PM, will be led by a group from the West Unity American Legion Post 669. Full graveside honors will also be given by the post.  Reverend Mike Morgan, West Franklin Church of Christ, will give the benediction.  Refreshments will be served at the Kissell Building after the service.
