United Way saw their most important fundraiser of the year this last Friday, January 19, with their 10th annual trivia night. This year, United Way is celebrating 30 years of operation, and so, the themes were all based around 1994 to now.

This led to many attendees picking their favorite 90s theme and going all out. With almost 250 attendees, this fundraiser is sure to make a huge impact, especially because United Way will be donating the proceeds as gift cards to food pantries so that they may stock up on items the community needs.

The wonderful smell of the chicken and burger bar wafted throughout the room as the guests settled in for their meals and prepared to become competitive with the other teams.

There were nine rounds of trivia, and each round had ten questions each. The team with the most correct answers at the end wins.

Some of the themes were more apparent than the others, but it was clear some dedication was had by some who really put in the extra effort to make their themes look truly great, and many had stylish themed outfits to match.

This year’s sponsors were Bards Manufacturing, Williams County Veterans Office, Tri-State Vision Center, and Midwest Federal Credit Union.

Overall, it was a great night not only because the community got to come out and have fun together, but also because they did so in support of those most in need.
