This afternoon The Village Reporter received the following letter from the Wauseon School District noting the suspension of Head Football Coach Travis Cooper:
Wauseon Exempted Village Schools has suspended football coach Travis Cooper for two games as a disciplinary measure for inappropriate actions related to his coaching duties. Coach Cooper will not coach during the varsity football games on September 21, 2018 and September 28, 2018.
Update: According to Superintendent Larry Brown, Cooper was suspended for using profanity around students.

Are you kidding me when I played all the coaches cursed. The people nowadays need to get the sticks out of their asses
This is ridiculous. I was an athlete for Wauseon when I was a student. We were all bad mouthed then, why start suspending people now? What a joke.
Have you listened to the kids talk now days he couldn’t have said anything that he does hear them say 50 times in one conversation
