Twenty-Two Indicted By Williams County Grand Jury

The Williams County Grand Jury convened on Tuesday, January 14, and returned indictments against twenty-two individuals facing a total of forty-one charges.  Those indicted include:

Van Antonio Adams, 33, of Toledo was indicted on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of criminal tools, also a fifth-degree felony.  Authorities allege that Adams possessed criminal tools as well as deprived Deitsch’s Sales of Edgerton of property on or about December 21, 2019.

Christopher Anderson, 38, of Toledo was indicted on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of criminal tools, also a fifth-degree felony.  Authorities allege that Anderson possessed criminal tools as well as deprived Deitsch’s Sales of Edgerton of property on or about December 21, 2019.

Dustin D. Carroll, 35, of Montpelier was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Carrol is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony charge.


Santisouk Champada, 31, of Montpelier was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Champada is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony charge.

Gail A. Christlieb, 60, of Bryan was indicted for theft, a fifth-degree felony.  Christlieb is accused of stealing $1808.45 from the Bryan Wal-Mart between the approximate dates of September 29 and November 27, 2019.

Dustin M. Currence, 40, of Pioneer was indicted on a total of five charges including intimidation, a third-degree felony; aggravated menacing, a fifth-degree felony; unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, a fifth-degree felony; retaliation, third-degree felony; and having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony.  The charges stem from exchanges made with a Williams County Department of Job and Family Services employee on or about December 17, 2019.  It is alleged that Currence threatened this employee, leading the employee to believe that serious physical harm could be caused, in retaliation or the public servant who was at the time involved in a civil or criminal action and performing the responsibilities and duties of his or her office.  Currence is also charged with possessing a loaded New England Pardner, sawed-off 20-gauge shotgun during the time of the offense, at which time it is believed that Currence was under the disability of being drug or alcohol dependent.


Tobey R. Davis, 36, of Bryan was indicted for theft, a fifth-degree felony.  Davis is accused of stealing $1523.70 from the Bryan Wal-Mart between the approximate dates of September 29 and November 27, 2019.

Alize M. DeGraw, 18, of Angola, Indiana was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. DeGraw is accused of failing to appear as required by the court in connection to a previous felony charge.

Justin M. Genot, 28, of Toledo was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Genot is accused of possessing or using Fentanyl and Acetyl Fentanyl on or about July 24, 2019.

Joseph A. Graser, 34, of West Unity was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Graser is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about August 5, 2019.


Jill A. Guthrie, 44, of Montpelier was indicted on one count of burglary, a second-degree felony, and one count of theft of drugs, a fourth-degree felony.  Guthrie is accused of breaking into a structure located on South Lebanon Street in Bryan on or about November 21, 2019 as well as stealing Trazodone from the property.

Jason M. Johnson, 44, of Bryan was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony.  Johnson is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about November 22, 2019.

Jimmy R. Jones, 52, of West Unity was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Jones possessed or used methamphetamine on or about October 16, 2019.

Brittany J. Kendall, 20, of Bryan was indicted on a total of six charges including one count of attempted tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree felony; two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, each a fourth-degree felony; two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony; and possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony.  It is alleged that Kendall prepared for sale or shipment cocaine and Fentanyl as well as possessed or used methamphetamine, cocaine, and Fentanyl on or about October 29, 2019.  Authorities additionally allege that Kendall attempted to tamper with related evidence on or about October 31, 2019.

Charles A. Landers, 34, of Montpelier was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony. Authorities allege that Landers possessed or used methamphetamine on or about January 10.

Johnny Ray Moore, 29, of Haysville, Kansas was indicted for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony.  It is alleged that, on or about December 10, 2019, Moore transported or had a loaded firearm in a motor vehicle in such a manner that the firearm was accessible to the operator or any passenger without leaving the vehicle.

Terrelle L. Moses, 36, of Toledo was indicted on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony; and one count of criminal tools, also a fifth-degree felony.  Authorities allege that Moses possessed criminal tools as well as deprived Deitsch’s Sales of Edgerton of property on or about December 21, 2019.

Joshua Nichols, 37, of Huntington, Indiana was indicted for non-support of dependents, a fifth-degree felony.  Nichols is accused of failing to provide support for a time period in excess of 26 weeks out of one-hundred-four consecutive weeks and being in arrears a total of $27,928.57.

Joseph A. Richmond, 39, of Bryan was indicted for violating a protection order, a fifth-degree felony. Richmond is accused of, on or about November 20, 2019, recklessly violating the terms of a protection order by telephonic contact after having previously been convicted of a similar charge by the Bryan Municipal Court.

Danielle R. Scribner, 32, of Edon was indicted for aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. Scribner is accused of possessing or using methamphetamine on or about January 10.

Jesse A. Smith, 28, of Manitou Beach, Michigan was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, each a second-degree felony.  Smith is accused of using or possessing, as well as preparing for sale or shipment, methamphetamine on or about January 6.
