FAYETTE – The Pettisville Lady ‘Birds travelled to Fayette on October 2 and took over the Eagle’s nest quickly, winning in straight sets, 25-11, 25-17, and 25-20.

Ashlyenn Waidelich led the Blackbirds in both aces, 7, and kills, 6, while also counting 1 dig in the contest. Emily Hubby had a team-leading 6 assists as well as 4 aces, 4 kills, and 2 digs. Claire Fry counted 3 assists on the night while Devon Friend scored 3 aces and had 1 dig. Carley Hoffmire had 4 digs in the contest while Emily Eicher counted 2 digs of her own along with 2 aces, 1 assist, and 1 kill. Jordyn Pursel made her presence felt at the service line, hammering 5 aces; she also had 1 dig, 1 assist, and 2 kills. Molly Bruner had 1 kill in the match while Dana Fricke counted 1 assist along with 4 kills, 3 aces, and the team’s only 2 blocks. Stephanie Hubby led the team with 5 digs while Kate Kauffman added 4 digs of her own.
