MONTPELIER: May 06- The Edon Bombers visited Montpelier for a neighborly showdown on May 6, taking down the host Locomotives 12-1 on the strong arm of pitcher Zac Brown, who tossed a 2 hit game to earn the win.
On the mound, Brown also fanned 10 Locomotive hitter’s while allowing no walks in the Bomber victory.
The Bombers had a team wide effort at the plate, with 7 hitters connecting for shots on the day. Wyatt Zulch led the way for Edon, going 3 for 4 at the plate with 2 singles and a triple. Kaden Sapp and Caleb mason also recorded multiple hits, going 2 for 3 and 2 for 4 respectively. Landon Bloir, Brown, Trevor Green, and Jacob Brown all recorded hits in the win for Edon.
For Montpelier, Josh Lewellen took the loss, going 3 and 2/3’s allowing 7 runs off of 7 hits. Gunnar Matson also saw 2 innings of action in the loss.
For the Locos at the plate, Keegan Hitzeman smacked a double on the afternoon and teammate Cody Caudill connected for a single.
