Gay Blosser Hollstein, Knoxville – age 81 passed away Monday, December 7, 2020. Gay was born in Ohio on March 26, 1939.
Preceded in death by loving husband of 63 years Keith Hollstein, parents Richard Blosser and Mary Karnes Blosser, sister Joy Coblio (Buzz), brothers Richard Blosser and Nick Blosser (Doreen), and son Kevin Hollstein.
Survived by sister Sunny Woodhull (Nathan), brothers Randy Blosser (Cindy), Chris Blosser, son Kip Hollstein (Beth), daughter Kristy Walker (Darryl) and grandsons Miller Hollstein (Kristina) and Parker Hollstein.
After graduating from Montpelier High School in 1957, Gay married Keith Hollstein, the love of her life, where they resided in Montpelier, Ohio. Shortly after, they started a family and moved to the family farm in Edon, Ohio. Gay’s early years were dedicated to her role as a loving and caring mother and wife.
Later, Gay was employed by the Williams’ County Courthouse in Bryan, Ohio where she worked in the treasurer’s office.
After relocating to Knoxville, Tennessee, she joined the Baptist Home Healthcare office team and retired in 2002. Gay will be remembered for her love of family, crafting, creating, and decorating for every holiday, but most of all for her gentle, happy spirit.
A Celebration of Life for Gay will be scheduled in the future.
