Vernon Whitson, age 82, of Wauseon, passed away February 15, 2021 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. Vernon was born March 13, 1938 in Yellville, Arkansas to the late Henry and Kate (Thayer) Whitson. On June 22, 1968, Vernon married Marilyn Haase, who survives.
Vernon loved bowling and playing cards. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Vernon is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Yvonne Martin; and sister, Laverne Tolliver. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Robert Williams; brothers, Clyde, Ray, and Roy; and sister, Addie.
