Bryan Board Of Education Passes Resolution To Place Substitute Levy On Ballot

Following the Call to order and the pledge to the flag at the June 21, 2021 Bryan BOE meeting, the board voted to approve the May Regular and June Special Board meeting minutes.

The Board heard reports from Four County, Treasurer, and Superintendent. Items approved at the meeting included:

-Treasurer’s report which informed the Board of Donation of 25 cases of hand Sanitizer for the 21-22 School year donated by Contributions from Kora Brew House, the Grand Plaza and Four Seasons in conjunction with Nate Gonyer from US Foods.

-Resolution of Necessity for the Substitution of an Existing Emergency Levy

-21-22 Volleyball trip and 21-22 Girls Tennis Trip

-One-year limited teaching contract effective 21-22 School year for Brock Homier, MS Int. Specialist

-Contract addendums – Karyn Cox – Director of Teaching and Learning and Chad Bassett – Assistant Superintendent


-One-year administrative contracts effective August 1, 2021 for Ned Ruffer – Director of Maintenance and Rhonda Gibson – School Psychologist

-Three-year administrative contracts effective August 1, 2022 for: Karen Cox Director of Teaching and Learning; Amy Dominique Principal Grades K-2; Kasey Thormeier Principal Grades 3-5; Steve Alspaugh Principal Grades 9-12; and Rachel Gerken Physical Therapist

-Four-year administrative contract effective August 1, 2022 for Hayley Brown EMIS Coordinator

-Extended Time Contracts for 21-22 school year for thirteen individuals


-Extended Time Contract Addendum Chad Savage Athletic Director

-Administrative Compensation and Benefit Schedule

-Aides for the 21-22 School year

-21-22 Supplemental contracts for eight coaches and website coordinator

-HS Summer School Teachers

-Salary Placement Schedule for 21-22 school year

-Transfer of Certified Staff for 21-22 School year – Andrea Sims MS/HS English Teacher and Colette Schroeder 5th Grade General Ed teacher

-Transfer of Classified Staff for the 21-22 School year – Jule Matthews PK-5 Head Cook; Camie Keck 6-12 head Cook; Melissa Laurin Assistant Head Cook/Baker; and Linda Miller Shipping/Receiving and Server

-New Hire of Classified Staff for the 21-22 school year – Nancy Michael Aide Sp. Ed. Elem. and Matthew Franzdorf Aide Non Sp. Ed. Elem.

-Volunteers for Band for 21-22 school year

-Resignations of: Brittany Sanders 6th Grade Intervention Specialist, effective June 1, 2021; Jeff Inselmann Head Baseball Coach, effective June 21, 2021; Heather Crum Cross Categorical intervention Specialist, effective June 15, 2021; Brandon Fisher Grade 7 Language Arts Teacher, effective June 10,2021; Shari Robison Bus Driver and Aide Non Sp. Ed. Elem. effective August 13, 2021; and Matt Franzdorf SRO effective July 31, 2021

-Spring 21-22 Supplemental Contract for Corbin Walker Head Varsity Baseball Coach

-Volunteer for band for 21-22 school year Ben Camarillo

-Second reading of Policy items

-One-year administrative contract effective August 1, 2022 for Kevin Schafer Treasurer/CFO

The next board meeting is scheduled for July 12, 2021 at 7 pm in the Bryan Elementary Commons.
