On Wednesday June 23rd the Delta Board of Education voted to purchase 115 13-inch MacBook Air’s for the 6th grade classes. These 115 MacBook’s will make it so that grades 6 through 12 will now all be using MacBook’s.
The cost will be $89,585.00 and will be paid for with COVID money that the school has received.
In other news the Treasurers report showed that revenue was a little over $4,000 higher than anticipated for this month and that the year-to-date revenue is around $97,000 more than the same time last year.
Pamela Waugh was hired as a 4.5 hour a day bus driver and Ashley Viveros was hired as the District E.L. Aide. Jennifer Maynhart’s contract as District Aide was renewed.
An affiliation agreement was made with Northwest State Community College for nursing students to come and work with the school nurse.
The 2021-2022 school lunch fees, course fees, and handbooks were approved.
A contract with the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training, and Rehabilitation Center was made for $44 per weekday. This contract is only if a student is court placed into the facility.
Buck Brothers gave a quote for concrete and asphalt work to be done at each of the schools. Part of the parking lots will be torn out and replaced and others will be seal coated and striped for a cost of around $168,436.82.
There will be an overnight lock-in for the volleyball team. The event will be supervised by the coaching staff.
The board also approved the presentation of a diploma to senior Jacob Hettmansperger due to completing the requirements for graduating.
The meeting then adjourned at 7:10PM. The next regular meeting will take place July 21st at 6:30PM.
