BOYS SOCCER

Varsity

Delta 4 Bryan 1

After a scoreless first half by both teams Delta got an early second half goal from Shane Kruger as they went on to a 4-1 win in NWOAL play. Kruger added another goal later in the half with AJ Matthews and Luke Reinhard also finding the net. Quinn Brown accounted for the Bryan goal with an assist by Colton Smith at 18:00 mark of the second half and Dom Malanga recorded 17 saves between the pipes for the Golden Bears.

MVCD 3 Pettisville 1

MVCD scored twice in the first half and were able to hold off Pettisville in the second half to get the road win. Pettisville’s Harley Crossgrove scored on an assist by Zakkai Kaufmann 23 minutes into the second half to cut the deficit to 2-1 before MVCD scored with four minutes left to put the game away.

Wauseon 3 Liberty Center 1

The Indians started NWOAL play by snapping a two-game losing streak after their 3-1 win at Liberty Center. Gavin Gerig (2) and Benicio Torres accounted for the Wauseon goals while Torres and Manuel Gante registered assists.

Archbold 7 Swanton 2

Archbold exploded for six goals in the second half to pull away for a 7-2 victory at Swanton. Krayton Kern led the Bluestreaks with three goals while Ethan Stuckey, Braylon Gore, Brady Bacik, and Brodie Dominique had one each.

Wauseon 3 Continental 1

The Lady Indians moved their record to 5-0-1 with a 3-1 win at home over Continental. Macy Gerig led the Wauseon attack by scoring in the 23rd minute and then again in the 76th minute. Kasmyn Carroll also scored in the second half for Wauseon while Gerig and Kya Foote tallied an assist each.

Evergreen 9 Toledo Christian 3

Paige Radel scored an early goal to jump start Evergreen in a 9-3 win over Toledo Christian.

Stryker 186 Edon 277

Angela Soellner was medalist with a 43 to pace Stryker over Edon at Riverside Greens Golf Course. Daniel Donovan was next for Stryker by firing a 46, Gavin LaBo shot a 47, and Michael Donovan registered a 50. Thomas Wehrenberg had the Edon low score with a 60.

Edgerton 164 Wayne Trace 177

Esten Kennerk totaled eight pars and one birdie to finish with a 35 (-1) to lead the Bulldogs past Wayne Trace. Kaden Kennerk was next for Edgerton with a 41, Braden Leppelmeier fired a 43, and Nate Swank posted a 45.

Hilltop 185 Pettisville 186

Hilltop used a balanced score sheet as they edged Pettisville by one stroke at Patriot Hills Golf Course near Montpelier. Elijah Kuszmaul carded a 44 to earn match medalist honors for Hilltop, Jaime Chester added a 46, Dylan Siebenaler shot a 47, and Ella Calvin came home with a 48. Blayn Meck was the catalyst for Pettisville with a 45, Sam Myers had a 46, Caden Bishop tallied a 47, and Tobin King turned in a 51.

Bryan 162 Wauseon 168 Liberty Center 199

Drew Dauber and Nate Hess fired 39s for Bryan as they opened NWOAL play with victories over Wauseon and Liberty Center at White Pines Golf Course. Noah Huard shot a 41 and Carter Brown added a 43 to complete the scoring for Bryan. Wauseon was paced by Andy Scherer and Mykale Schneider with 41s, Jackson Gleckler carded a 42, and Riley Morr had a 44.

Patrick Henry 196 Delta 233

Edgerton Forge

The Patriots were led by match medalist Ethan Rohrs who shot a 41 as Patrick Henry knocked off Delta at Pike Run Golf Course. Adam Mattin posted the low score for the Panthers with a 54, Gavin Cousino and Ethan Hoffman each had a 59, and Slade Young shot a 61.

North Central 176 Holgate 251

The Eagles effort was paced by Zack Hayes with a 37 as they defeated Holgate at Auglaize Golf Course. Colin Patten turned in a 45 for North Central followed by a 46 from Mason Sanford and Ben Petit fired a 48.

Swanton 177 Archbold 186 Evergreen 229

All six Swanton golfers recorded scores in the 40s to lead the Bulldogs to league wins over Archbold and Evergreen at Woodlawn Golf Course near Adrian, MI. Swanton’s total was comprised of Lucas Bloom (41-medalist), Garrett Swank (45), Adam Lemon (45), Ryan O’Shea (46), and Sam Betz (46).

Woolace & Johnson

Cahle Roth posted a 42 to lead Archbold followed by a 43 from Luke Rosebrook, River Ryan fired a 50, and Zach Short added a 51. Evergreen was led by Teayte Dixon, Brandon Cobb, and Ayden Glecker who each shot a 57.

Montpelier 163 Fayette 224

Jaxson Richmond was medalist with a 39 to pace Montpelier over Fayette in a BBC dual match at Suburban Golf Course. Montpelier, who had five golfers shoot in the 40s, scoring was rounded out by Aidan Higbie (40), Easten Richmond (41), Drake Sommer (43), and Trent Thorp (43).

GIRLS GOLF

Wauseon 193 Lake 208

Halle Frank led a balanced Wauseon effort by shooting a 45 to carry the Indians past Lake 193-208. Jordan King followed with a 47, Calaway Gerken had a 48, and Ashley Fisher tallied a 53.

Edgerton 197 Wayne Trace 223 Fairview (no team score)

Ashlynn Sleesman earned medalist honors with a 44 and Briana Walkup added a 47 to lift the Lady Bulldogs to wins over Wayne Trace and Fairview. The Edgerton total was completed by Lola Giesige (52) and Bre Reliford (54).

Hicksville 178 Montpelier 222

Kinsey Word put together a round of 45 as Montpelier dropped a dual match with Hicksville 178-222. Mandy Taylor was next for the Locos with a 53, Taylor Bard had a 61, and Bobbie Kreischer added a 63.

Stryker 3 Montpelier 2

Sage Woolace and Emma Fulk had 31 and 20 digs respectively to lead Stryker in handing Montpelier their first loss of the season 25-11, 23-25, 26-24, 16-25, 20-18. Brianna Breier topped Stryker (3-4) in hitting by going 24/25 with 13 kills. The Locos were led by Chelsea McCord with 15 kills and 32 digs, Cadey Hillard added 27 digs and Kelsie Bumb chipped in with 33 assists.

Hilltop 3 Edon 0

Mia Hancock was 22/22 serving (16 points) and 16/16 hitting with four kills in Hilltop’s straight set win over Edon 25-10, 25-17, 25-21. Kacy Connolly added 21 assists for the Cadets (3-1) and Gabby Rodriguez racked up 17 kills on 35/39 hitting. Edon (1-5) was topped by Emma Hickman (11 assists, five digs, three aces) and Olivia Mitchell (two kills, seven digs).

Pettisville 3 Fayette 0

Magic Corner Shop

Lyla Heising went 25/27 serving with seven aces and Taylor Boger was 21/21 serving as Pettisville (2-3) cruised to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-6 win. Amanda Grimm and Leah Beck each registered 10 assists for the Blackbirds and Liz Rochefort had nine kills.

North Central 3 Edgerton 0

North Central remained undefeated (4-0) with a 25-13, 26-24, 25-14 win at Edgerton. Kendal Bonney recorded 16 kills, 15 assists for the Eagles and Madison Brown added eight kills, 17 assists, seven digs. Addie Cape went 15/17 in digs and 14/17 in serves received while Sadie Walther was 29/30 hitting with eight kills for Edgerton (2-2).
