Ohio Gas held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of their new office building on Wednesday, September 1st.

The new office building is at 715 East Wilson Street in Bryan and is replacing their previous building located on the corner of West High Street and North Lynn Street.

The property was already owned by Ohio Gas with a building already onsite and being used. Construction was started to add onto the original property in order to bring the majority of their employees in under the same roof.

All together this property will now house Ohio Gas’s call center, offices, meter shop, service shop and more. With four service centers located throughout Northwest Ohio, Ohio Gas saw it fit to bring all offices in Williams County together under the same roof.

All together, the buildings will now be home to 77 employees that work to serve over 50,000 customers in 6 different counties in Northwest Ohio.

Construction began in the Summer of 2020 and finished at the beginning of this Summer. Employees and 60 years’ worth of equipment and supplies then had to be slowly moved over to the new building.

That process has since been completed and the old building is now empty. The old neon sign from the previous building was saved and put up in the meter shop located at the new property.

In the end, Ohio Gas says that this new building will bring them all together to work better as a team.
