Edgerton Board Of Education: School Board Approves Donations

The Edgerton Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, November 22nd. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The board first moved to approve the current agenda followed by the minutes from the October 18th regular meeting and the special meeting on October 26th.

With no public present to speak, the board moved on to communications where a recap was given regarding the Four County Career Center’s recent board meeting.

The Treasurer’s agenda then followed with a general fund update, food service analysis and income tax collection update issues being discussed first.

The following recommendations were then made and approved. The financial reports, bills payments, appropriations, estimated resource modifications for the month of October and several investments. The 5-year forecast was discussed and approved as well as money transfers.


The superintendent’s report was then discussed next with numerous commendations being given. Donations were then approved $250.00 coming from St. Mary’s Church, $100.00 from the State Bank and $600 from Mrs. Kent Wolff.

A recommendation was then made and approved to purchase new tarps for the gym floor from Tarps Now Company for $5,822.08. Numerous personnel changes were also approved before the board moved to hear the superintendents report.

A report on current student enrollment was heard followed by the second reading highlights for the NEOLA regulations.

A capital conference report was given before the board chose January 10th, 2022, as the date for the January meeting. A renovation update was also given with it being stated that the basketball hoops are now complete.

The board then moved on to hear principal reports before heading into executive session at 7:20 p.m. Upon the boards return at 8:03 p.m. a motion to adjourn was made and approved.
