Outside of the Evergreen School District, possibly the best kept secret is the Glow Party Dance Fundraiser.

A cancer awareness fundraiser, Relay For Life is in charge of the Glow Party. The last time Glow Party fundraiser was held, it cleared between $1,500 and $2,000.

Because of the success of the last one, this year’s Glow Party Dance has been moved to a new venue.

The new location is Holy Trinity Hall, on 2639 U.S. 20, near Swanton. The Glow Party Dance is slated for Saturday, November 5, from 6-9 p.m.

A glow dance involves several black lights that glow in the dark. According to Brynn Trumbull, one of the founders of the glow dance, the target age of the group is ages preschool through eighth grade.

Currently, the youngest in the group is age eight. With more than 200 members, expect a large number of dancers.

Along with the dancing, there will be food, games and several raffles. The two biggest raffle giveaways will be 52 free Tropical Smoothies and a $150 dollar package to Sky Zone.

There will be an admission charge, of five dollars, for all ages.
