BLAKESLEE VILLAGE COUNCIL: Mayor Linda Muehlfeld To Submit Resignation

Blakeslee Village Council held their meeting on November 16 at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Linda Muehlfeld called the meeting to order with all members present except one.

Purchase orders prepared by Fiscal Officer, Courtny Osborn, as well as financial reports were approved.

Resolution 11-2022-02 was passed recognizing and promoting the importance of the Michindoh Aquifer and opposing the withdrawal of water resources from the aquifer by AquaBounty, LLC.

Muehlfeld is still trying to set up a date with Black Swamp on the proper usage of lawnmower.


Muehlfeld also stated that she will be resigning as mayor at next meeting with resignation letter, at that time, council will vote on the President of Council, Cody Reynolds, to take over the mayoral position.

Council will also begin looking at replacement for Reynolds’ council spot. President Reynolds stated he will continue to work on the mower and grant work for the park.

Blakeslee Village Council will hold their next regular business meeting on Wednesday, December 14 at 6:00 p.m.


With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned.
