The Edgerton Local Board of Education met for their organizational meeting on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 6 p.m. in the Annex Board Room. Members present were Lyn Bowsher, Amanda Giesige, Nick Hug, Robert Siebenaler, and Bill Swank.

The first thing that took place was the swearing in of newly elected school board members Lyn Bowsher, Robert Siebenaler, and Bill Swank by William Blakely, Treasurer/CFO.

Siebenaler was then elected president of the 2024 Edgerton Board of Education, with Bowsher elected as vice president.

Board President Siebenaler was then named delegate, with Nick Hug as alternate, for the 2024 OSBA Capital Conference in Columbus, Ohio in November.

The following committee assignments were then made: Audit Committee: Lyn Bowsher; Legislative Committee: Robert Siebenaler; Student Achievement Committee: Amanda Giesige.

A $5,000 service fund  was then created for 2024 board expenses, and all annual standing authorizations, which authorize certain actions given to those in specific roles, were approved before the board entered into executive session.
