4-H High Achievers Collect Items For Texas Fire Relief Fund

The High Achievers 4-H group has been busy so far this year. We started out with our first meeting on Jan. 29, 2024 with 24 members present. We elected officers, passed out premiums, and special awards.

10-year members: Kaiden King, Gracie Zuver, and Makinzy King. Cloverbud graduations: Milan Herman, Raylie Fletcher, Kinley Dietsch. Lydia Tracey and Gracie Zuver were awarded 2023 skillathon winners for their animal species.

Officers include: president- Mackenzie Frame, Vice President- Gracie Zuver, Secretary- Kirian Mercer, News Reporter- Allison Zuver, Health and Safety Officer- Case Mercer, and Recreational- Alexa Dickinson.

On February 11, 2024 old business was reviewed as well as important dates for enrollment, Quality Assurance, and animal possession. We talked about doing the Kunkle parade and other community service activities and also discussed fundraising ideas.


On March 10, 2024 a motion was passed to do 50/50 tickets for fundraising. The next meeting was at the Kunkle Church on April 14. The group played a recreational game. Members made Easter cards for Evergreen Nursing home. We also discussed fun things to do as a club.

On March 27, 2024, our group collected and sent donations for the Texas Fire Relief Fund. On April 14, 2024, the High Achievers held their fourth meeting. Details were discussed of 50/50 fundraiser. Will be drawn on August 7, 2024. Discussed more community Ideas and fun activities to do with money raised. The Cloverbuds enjoyed doing a painting project.
