The recent meeting of the Edgerton Chamber of Commerce Board was filled with productive discussions and key decisions, shaping the future initiatives and events for the community.

Trunk or Treat and Costume Judging: Preparations are complete for the highly anticipated Trunk or Treat event, scheduled to take place in front of the Village Hall from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Following this, at 7:00 PM, attendees are invited to the old gym for costume judging.

Refreshments, including cider and donuts, will be served courtesy of the men’s group from Life Changing. The LifeWise Academy will oversee the costume judging, with prizes generously provided by Fleo’s Flicks, Dream Haven, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Christmas Parade: Mark your calendars for the Christmas Parade on November 30th. Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Library, gifts from Santa and hot dogs are covered. Discussions are underway with Truland for potential donations of hot chocolate and cookies.

The parade lineup begins at 5:00 PM, with the parade commencing at 6:00 PM. While the route is being finalized with the Village, it is expected to mirror previous years.

Introducing the “Clems” Awards: In a bid to enhance recognition within the community, the Chamber has introduced the “Clems” Awards.

Starting in 2025, awards will be presented for Business of the Year, Industry of the Year, and Citizen of the Year. Nominations are open to the public, with the Board making the final selections. The awards will be presented at a special event on Friday, July 18, 2025, featuring entertainment and a reception for the winners.

2025 Budget and Community Initiatives: The Board has completed work on the 2025 budget, with details to be shared once verified. An exciting ‘Adopt-a-Pot’ program is set to launch, inviting families and businesses to decorate downtown flowerpots for winter. The theme is ‘Snowmen,’ and participants are responsible for removing decorations by March 2025.

Rebranding to “Mainstreet Edgerton”: In a significant move, the Edgerton Chamber of Commerce is rebranding to “Mainstreet Edgerton.”

This change reflects a commitment to enhancing Edgerton’s cultural and economic welfare, aligning more closely with the organization’s founding purpose.

The rebranding allows broader community involvement, welcoming individuals and families alongside businesses to support local initiatives.

The upcoming year promises continued support for beloved events like the Easter Egg Hunt and Edgerton Homecoming, scheduled for July 19, 2025.

Mainstreet Edgerton remains dedicated to fostering community collaboration and enhancing the cultural and economic well-being of Edgerton. Keep an eye out for opportunities to engage with and support these initiatives.
