A Regency Christmas Tree was recently held at the Museum of Fulton County. Located at 8848 OH-108 just outside Wauseon, the museum has featured exhibits that span both across Fulton County and across time.
Previously, Christmas Tea days have taken place at the History Manor in Wauseon. This year, in order to highlight the museum and what it has to offer, the tea day was moved to the museum.
The event was a sellout, with over 70 guests snatching up tickets. With a Regency Theme, around the years of 1811 to 1820, guests were encouraged to join in on the fun by dressing up in period clothing. Some of those in attendance accepted that offer and were dressed up for the event.
In addition to tea, everyone was offered a variety of holiday scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts. Music also filled the air, and a holiday program was put on that shared the story of the Vesta Phillip’s wedding, their family, and their hotel built on an Indian Trail just East of Lyons.
Admission to the museum exhibits were also included in their ticket fees, with everyone encouraged stop inside.
This event is just one of many that are put on by the hardworking people at the Fulton County Museum.
At this time, ten public events (in addition to the museum itself) are planned for next year. Tickets can already be purchased for those events now by checking out the Fulton County Museum’s website.
