PRESS RELEASE – The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on January 26, 2025, at approximately 2:27 a.m. The crash occurred on County Road D at Birdsong Lane in Swan Creek Township, Fulton County.
Timothy L Urbina Jr., age 18, of Sylvania, Ohio, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro westbound on County Road D when he lost control of his vehicle.
He traveled off the right side of the roadway through a field before striking a tree. Mr. Urbina succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Mr. Urbina was reportedly wearing his safety belt at the time of the crash, and drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be a factor. County Road D was closed for 1.5 hours; however, it has since been reopened.
The Patrol was assisted by the Fulton County Coroner, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Fulton County Fire Department and EMS, Swanton Fire Department, and Providence Township Fire Department. The crash remains under investigation.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists to always wear safety belts, and to never drive impaired or distracted.
