The Fayette Summer Music Fest returned for its second year on Friday, June 28th, drawing residents and visitors alike for an evening filled with music, games, and family-friendly fun.

Running from 6 p.m. to midnight, the event featured Maria’s Sunnyside and Aqua Ice, along with music by DJ Loco Sounds. The evening also included ongoing Friday night softball games, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere at the park.

The Music Fest offered more than just entertainment. Guests enjoyed refreshments from a beer trailer and tent, popcorn, and refreshments. Children had some activity possibilities as well with a bounce house and face painting provided free of charge.

Both activities were sponsored by the Bull Thistle Committee as a way to give back to the community and ensure all families could participate.

The idea for the Music Fest came from a desire to bring back the spirit of summer events once popular in Fayette, such as jazz nights and a battle of the bands competition.

Organizers saw an opportunity to revive that tradition while complementing the existing softball schedule and providing something special for local residents.

With continued support from the community, the Fayette Summer Music Fest is poised to remain a cherished local tradition for years to come.
