Edgerton sophomore Emileigh Kenner shared a firsthand account of the Spanish Club’s EF Tour Journey Through France and Spain.

“Hola, amigos! The Spanish Club just wrapped up an amazing tour through Paris, Barcelona, and Madrid, and we are excited to share our adventure.

It all kicked off with a flight into France, where our enthusiastic tour director greeted us at the airport.

In Paris, we explored the Latin Quarter, marveling at Notre-Dame’s ongoing restoration, and enjoyed a gourmet welcome dinner.

Our local guide led us through the Louvre and Versailles, sparking lively discussions about French and Spanish cultural ties. We also took a river cruise on the Seine and explored the Eiffel Tower.

The train ride to Barcelona was a hit—those views had us practicing our Spanish phrases! In Barcelona, we dove into the Gothic Quarter with an expert guide, soaking in the history of the Sagrada Familia.

We practiced our language skills with locals, snapped photos of Montjuïc, and were mesmerized by a flamenco evening—perfect for our cultural immersion. We stayed in a beautiful hotel on the beach and enjoyed a bike tour around the city.

Next, Madrid welcomed us with a paella lunch, and we explored the Prado Museum, analyzing Goya’s works in Spanish.

Strolling through Puerta del Sol and the San Miguel Market, we chatted with vendors, honing our conversational skills. A side trip to Toledo let us compare medieval Spanish architecture, sparking some great club debates.

Our guides’ insights deepened our understanding of Hispanic culture, making this trip a linguistic and cultural triumph for the Spanish Club. Thank you to everyone who supported the Spanish Club for this unforgettable experience.”
