The Ohio House of Representatives recognized longtime Williams County public servant Andrew Kaufman with a formal proclamation honoring more than five decades of service to the community.
The proclamation was presented by State Representative Jim Hoops during a recent ceremony held at the Williams County Courthouse.
It acknowledged Kaufman’s extensive career in public service and his dedication to Williams County. Kaufman is a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam War veteran who went on to serve his county in multiple roles over the years.
His service included work with the Williams County Sheriff’s Office as a special deputy, community safety, rescue operations, and humanitarian efforts during natural disasters. He also provided security and assistance at the Williams County Fair.
Kaufman later served on the constable staff of the Williams County Court of Common Pleas, where the proclamation noted his leadership, integrity, and commitment to public service.
His work was credited with setting a strong example for others and contributing positively to the broader community.
The resolution formally commended Kaufman for his five decades of professionalism, sincerity, and lasting impact on Williams County.
The House extended congratulations to Kaufman on his retirement and offered best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years ahead.
