Violet S. ClarkViolet S. Clark, 91, of Montpelier passed away Monday afternoon at Dream Haven in Edgerton. She was born on February 3, 1925 in Washington Township, Defiance County, Ohio to Clayton Dewey and Gretina Harms (Assing) Hauer. Violet graduated from Bryan High School in 1943. On March 9, 1946 she married Richard L. Clark and he preceded her in death on November 22, 2015.

Violet was a charter member Trinity Lutheran Church in Bryan. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Violet did work at DIA in Montpelier for 15 years, and also for a short time at ARO in Bryan during World War II as an inspector.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard “Ric” (Cindy) Clark, Jr. and Ed (Patti) Clark, all of Montpelier; five grandchildren, Kristen Ewers, David Clark, Sam JoHantgen, Ed Clark, Jr., and Sophia Dilley; and ten great grandchildren.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, and daughter-in-law Juanita Clark in November 2012.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Dream Haven Activity Fund. Condolences can be left for the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
