Jane E. Rupp

September 15, 2016No Comments3 Mins Read

jane-e-ruppJane E. Rupp, age 66, passed away in her home in Archbold, Ohio on Monday morning, September 12, 2016. Jane was the eldest child of Delmer “Pete” and Pauline (Lantz) Rupp of Pettisville, Ohio and was born on February 17, 1950, in Wauseon. Both of her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her brother, Mark (Darla) Rupp, and three sisters: Ann (Ron) Hale, Christine (Brad) Mosier, and Barb (Lonnie) Rufenacht, all of whom reside in the Pettisville area. Jane also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews, three nephews and one niece by marriage, and seven great nieces and great nephews. She will also be missed by several friends and cousins both in this area and scattered through the United States.

Jane was a 1967 graduate of Pettisville High School and attended Wheaton College in Illinois and attained her undergraduate degree in 1971 at The Ohio State University. She remained a loyal OSU Buckeyes fan all of her life.

In addition to her family Jane had three passions in her life – faith, history, and music.

Upon completion of her Masters Degree in history and museum studies from Wright State University she spent several years in Marion, Ohio, Plattsburgh, NY, and Chillicothe, Ohio working in this field. Recently she has spent her time working as a costumed guide/interpreter at Sauder Village and organizing events and activities for the Fulton County Historical Society.

Jane has been a member of Crossroads Evangelical Church in Wauseon, Ohio for many years; and she devoted many hours playing the piano for the Church Choir and at many worship services – both as a soloist and in dual piano compositions with her sisters. For the past few years she has also accompanied the Church Choir at the Christ Methodist Church in Wauseon and made many new and treasured friends through this activity.

Her faith in Jesus Christ was at the center of her life and sustained her through both good times and bad.

Jane will be remembered at a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 16, 2016 in the Chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church. A Private burial service will be held in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the Chapel at Crossroads Evangelical Church. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Fulton County Historical Society or Crossroads Evangelical Church. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
