On Friday, October 28, the Williams County Humane Society, in conjunction with T & M BBQ and Bake, held a Chicken Dinner Drive Thru Fundraiser. The event took place prior to the Montpelier/Northwood football game at the parking lot across from the entrance to Hobe Krouse Field.

According to event coordinator, Abby Wurm, proceeds from the event will go directly into the general fund to assist in covering day-to-day operating expenses of the Humane Society. Ms. Wurm added, “The Humane Society is completely donation driven. We receive no government funding or assistance.” The goal for the affair was to raise at least $750 through the chicken dinner sales as well as the bake sale. Following the event Ms. Wurm shared that approximately $630 was collected. She was very grateful for the support from all who attended.

Although the event was a great success, the Humane Society always appreciates any monetary or supply donations from the public. To make a contribution or find out more about pet adoption, please contact the Humane Society at 419-636-2200, or visit the Williams County Humane Society Facebook page.
