Ray Harding Jr. (1940 – 2016)

ray-hardingRay Harding Jr., 76 years, of Williamsburg, Ohio and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, and his wife, Patricia A. Harding, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 due to injuries received in an automobile accident near Mount Orab, Ohio.  Ray was born January 2, 1940 in Wise, Virginia, the son of the late Ray and Ocie (Church) Harding Sr.  He married Patricia A. Hall on April 5, 1980 in Wise, Virginia.  Ray was employed by Bryan Custom Plastics for nearly 30 years, retiring in 2011.  He had also worked for Senco.  Ray was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie 2233, where he served as a Past President and Trustee.  He was also a member of the Bryan Moose Lodge 1064.  Ray was an active car collector and loved to attend area car shows.  He followed Jimmy Johnson on the NASCAR circuit.  He loved his dogs, but he was even more in love with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his five children, Regina (Rick Bany) Harding of Montpelier, Ohio, Roberta (Dan Stiltner) Ruffer of Bryan, Vernon (Kattie) Gibson of Brooks, Kentucky, Pamela (Mike) Duggan) Zipfel and Cheryl (Monty) Stiltner of Ney, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Lonnie (Sharon) Harding of Wise, Virginia, Randy Harding of Wise, Virginia, Steve Harding of Bryan and Gary (Michelle) Harding of Wise, Virginia; three sisters, Janice Graham, Sandra (Dennis) Hillman and Theresa Tackett all of Wise, Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Patricia K. Mulligan; two brothers, Cecil and Bill Harding; three sisters, Jane Collins and infants, Joyce Ann and Carolyn Harding.

Visitation for Ray Harding will be held Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Lynn Street Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan.  Funeral services for Ray will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Phil Arnold officiating.  Interment will follow in Ney Cemetery, Ney, Ohio.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society.
