The Williams Board of County Commissioners met briefly to pass a few resolutions and open a bid for the IT Department at its Nov. 10 meeting.

The board approved the following resolutions:

Approved the hiring of Michelle Decker as a communications officer in training. Her first day was Nov. 14. The job pays $9.46 to start. Decker was recommended for the position by Communications Director Dawn Baldwin.

Approved a change order for the Durham Estates Sewer Improvement Project by changing a typo. The correct contract cost is $258,527.50.

Approved the transfer of $150,000 to Jobs and Family Services to eliminate a shortfall in funds received from the state to cover costs for child welfare. The money has been set aside, but comes out of the general fund.

IT Department Jeremy Suffel opened a bid on virtual infrastructure. The lone bid was $200,772.97 from Perry Pro Technology. Suffel will review the bid and let the commissioners know his recommendation.
