Stryker Branch Library has several events scheduled to celebrate Right to Read Week May 13 through May 17 in conjunction with the Stryker Schools. “Reading is Out of This World!” is the theme for Right to Read Week, and area students are invited to come to the library after school to join in the fun.

[emember_protected custom_msg=”Full content protected for online subscribers. Purchase a one week subscription from the top menu bar for just $1.99 to read all online content (full access). Longer subscription plans are also available. Subscriptions cover our costs to attend local events; bringing forth Hometown News Coverage to our communities.”]

Something special is planned each day at the Stryker Library, Monday through Thursday, for Right to Read Week. On Monday, May 13 at 3:15 pm, kids are invited to drop by after school to decorate and eat a “space” cookie. On Tuesday, May 14 from 3:15 – 4:00 pm, guest speaker Bobie Williams will provide a program on the Japanese and their lifestyle. Children can choose a space book to read to us for the last “Read to Me” on Wednesday, May 15 from 3:15 – 4:00 pm. An after school movie (title to be announced) is planned for Thursday, May 16 from 3:15 – 4:30.

Stryker Branch Library is located at 304 S. Defiance Street in Stryker. For more information about Right to Read Week, please call Connie Aeschliman at 419-682-5081.
