Terry W. Henricks, 84, of Montpelier passed away on Wednesday evening at his home.  He was born on January 25, 1933 in York Township, Fulton County, Ohio to Chauncey F. and Ora B. (Whitaker) Henricks.  Terry attended Stryker and Bryan High School before graduating in 1950.  On June 24, 1979, he married Patricia J. Liskai and she survives.

Terry attended the First United Methodist Church in Montpelier and was a Free and Accepted Mason of the 32nd degree, Lodge 215, Bryan.  Terry was a heavy equipment operator building the Chrysler proving grounds and the Ohio Turnpike in Williams County.  He also was employed at the Turnpike Maintenance Building in Kunkle, and then transferred to the division headquarters in Elmore.  He became an outside Plant Engineer for GTE in Bowling Green, Sylvania and Bryan, retiring in 1988 after 21 years of service.

Anyone who knew Terry knew he was a man that loved deeply in all that he did. Terry was a hardworking man whose hands were rarely idle. He loved to spend time working in and enjoying God’s great outdoors. He enjoyed being in the woods, readying it for making maple syrup and clearing paths for gator rides and walks through nature. Most importantly, he was a Christian man and a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished his family. He instilled an ethic of hard work in his children and grandchildren while also filling their lives with laughter and love.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia; three sons, Retired Colonel Terence “Tom” (Rebecca) Henricks of Blanco, Texas, Kim (Lisa) Henricks of Elmore, Ohio, and Scott (Jodi) Henricks of Friendswood, Texas; two daughters, Julie (Tom) Paule of Elmore, Ohio and Dr. Tara (Cory) Richmond of Montpelier, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and one brother Marion Henricks of Kunkle, Ohio.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Bruce, Paul and Hal Henricks.

Visitation for Terry will be on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 2-7pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier.  Services will be on Sunday at 2pm at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Frank Kampel to officiate.  Interment will follow at Shiffler Cemetery in rural Bryan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Williams County Veterans Memorial Fund.  Condolences can be left online at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
