Wauseon’s Grieser Named Winner Of 2017 Fulton County 4-H A Lamb Essay Contest

Fulton County, Ohio – The winning essay for the 2017 Fulton County 4-H Win A Lamb Essay Contest was written by Eleanor Grieser of Wauseon. She is the recipient of a free lamb that she can use for her 2017 4-H lamb project. Eleanor is a four year member of the Pettisville Ever-Ready 4-H club and a student at Pettisville School.

To be considered for receiving a free lamb, entrants were asked to write an essay on why they wanted to take a lamb to the Fulton County Fair. Youth ages 8-10 were asked to write at least 50 words and youth 11-18 were asked to write at least 100 words. In order to participate entrants had to be a member of a Fulton County 4-H Club, be taking a lamb project in 4-H for the first time, be able to house and care for the lamb, attend a Quality Assurance program and agree to attend a Sheep Skill-athon.
